This is the coziest place to stay in The Rocks and perhaps in all of Sydney. It’s more than 120 years old, and it shows its age wonderfully in the creaks of the floorboards. There are no harbor views, but all the rooms have immense character and are furnished in period style. Some have shared bathrooms (and all rooms have bathrobes in them). The hotel also has single rooms for solo travelers, and guests have access to a sitting room, with a small library and a balcony overlooking Circular Quay. The rooftop garden is another perfect spot for wonderful views of the harbor, with tables and chairs and sun umbrellas. This is a real find.
