Hotels in Tiberias
Tiberias has everything from hostels to megahotels geared toward tour groups, with a few religious guesthouses, as well. You should note that most hotels in Tiberias have kosher kitchens and that several especially cater to the Orthodox and have glatt kosher certification ( for an explanation of kashrut). On summer and holiday nights, the noise level from discos and party boats can make sleep difficult. Small hotels and kibbutz accommodations in the countryside around the lake can be a good option if you have a car; they also offer a better sense of the Galilee’s beauty. The Tiberias Tourism Information Office gives out lists of rooms to rent in private homes.
