Torun lies on major bus and rail links, with frequent daily service to major cities.
By Car -- From Warsaw (200km/124 miles), take Road E77 and switch to A10 in Ponsk. From Gdansk (207km/129 miles), take E75. From Poznan (150km/93 miles), it's E261 followed by A10 at Bydgoszcz. Figure on 2 to 3 hours' driving time from any of these starting points. You'll find parking along the river on Bulwar Filadelfijski.
By Train -- Trains arrive at Torun Gówny (Kujawska 1; tel. 197-57; www.intercity.pkp.pl) in the south of the city, across the Vistula river. Take bus no. 22 or 27 to get to town.
By Bus -- The PKS bus station (Dabrowskiego 8/24; tel. 703/303-333; www.veolia-transport.torun.pl) is about 5 minutes to the east of the Old Town.
