After a day of hiking at Sabino Canyon, the Eclectic, founded in 1980 by the mastermind behind Frank’s and Francisco’s, is a fun and delicious refueling station—and also a good place to stoke up before any such enterprise. A weekend breakfast favorite is the Mexico City–style tortilla-and-salsa dish called chilaquiles, while lunch and dinner offer a wide range of salads, quiches, crepes, sandwiches, and a full menu of Mexican dishes. There’s almost too much choice here, but Tucsonans, a brave lot, make do.
