Even if you do not plan to stay overnight in Ubeda, you should take a look at this 16th-century palace. Once you have seen the classic central courtyard, you will almost certainly want to enjoy a meal in the dining room, known as the Restaurante Condestable Dávalos. In parador style, the menu features classic dishes of the region carefully executed with fresh local ingredients, such as cold soup with almonds, rabbit stew, shoulder of kid, and a savory olive oil ice cream. After you have enjoyed a leisurely meal, you may even want to spend the night. The guest rooms feature high beamed ceilings, traditional furnishings, and tall windows. Many rooms have views of the main plaza.
