Besides multiple ballrooms and the Austrian National Library, the Neue Burg houses three museums in the southeast wing of the Vienna Hofburg. The Sammlung Alter Musik Instrumente (Collection of Historic Musical Instruments) holds the most important collection of renaissance and baroque instruments in the world from clavichords to woodwind instruments of the 15th and 16th centuries. At matinee performances visitors can even hear some of the better-kept pieces being played. The Ephesos Museum displays artifacts from Ephesus and Samothrace retrieved (some say lifted) since 1895 by Austrian archaeologists who excavated the ruins of Ephesus in Turkey. Then there's the Hofjagd und Rüstkammer (Collection of Arms and Armor), which is among the best of its kind in the world. It has a range of armor dating from the 15th through the early 20th century. Admission includes both the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Neue Burg museums.
