Hotels in Virginia Beach
The hotels and B&Bs listed here are just the tip of the more than 11,000 hotel rooms in Virginia Beach. Even with that many places to stay, you should reserve as far in advance as possible from mid-June through Labor Day, and especially on weekends when room rates are at their highest. Late spring and early fall are good times to visit; both have warm weather and lower rates. Least expensive prices are in the cold winter months, when few come here.
With so many hotels offering so many rooms, choosing the right one can be a daunting task. The Virginia Beach visitor information center's annual "Vacation Guide" lists all the local hotels and their current rates. It also distributes an annual accommodations directory published by the Virginia Beach Hotel/Motel Association (www.va-beach-hotels.com). The association's website has links to many of the hotels, most of which give their current room rates.

Sandbridge is as close to the Outer Banks as you can get in Virginia.
