The quality of lodging in Znojmo has drastically improved in recent years. There's now a raft of small family owned pensions behind the main square in and among the tiny lanes that overlook the river valley. The best bet if you turn up without a room is to roam around the center and see if something strikes your fancy. Except during wine festivals in the fall, you're unlikely to have a problem finding a room.
