Frommer's Review
During pre- and post-theater hours this place buzzes with London foodies anxious to sample the wares of chef Richard Lee. A minimalist haven for power design and eating in the very heart of London, this restaurant took over the ground floor and basement of what used to be the Granada Television building at the corner of Golden Square and Beak Street. The place evokes a London version of a Left Bank Parisian brasserie. Appetizers include such classics as French onion soup with Gruyère, and mussels marinière with french fries. One of our all-time favorite dishes here is a red onion tart with Roquefort and walnuts. Chicken is marinated and roasted with rosemary and lemon, and the grilled onglet steak with pan-fried shallots is one of the tastiest cuts of beef you are likely to sample. The rum baba with poached apricot will make your day.
