British culinary tradition lives on at this fish joint, long a favorite of West End actors. The jellied eels that delighted Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh are still on the menu, along with an array of fresh oysters from the coasts of Ireland and Brittany and that Victorian favorite, fried whitebait. Sheekey's fish pie is still featured, as is Dover sole. The old "mushy" peas are here, but the chefs also offer the likes of steamed organic sea beet. Opt for the traditional dishes or specials based on the fresh catch of the day. The double chocolate pudding soufflé is a delight, and many favorite puddings remain.
