Frommer's Review
This is a charming, trendy oasis for attractive locals -- and the food isn't bad, either. Located next to a number of outdoor restaurants in a cul-de-sac, "hush" is the hippest of the lot. And it offers some of London's best al fresco dining. On the ground floor expect a chic decor with a combination of light-wood tables and limestone floors, with touches of warm "spice" colors. The well-chosen menu features traditional brasserie food -- in this case, such items as smoked haddock fish cakes, lobster and chips with garlic butter, and most definitely the "hush" hamburger which some critics have hailed as "the best in London." Start with Andalusian gazpacho or a meze platter (a selection of Greek hors d'oeuvres), and then try the sautéed calf's liver or Toulouse sausages with creamed potatoes and a mustard sauce. The desserts are hard to resist, especially the champagne jelly with mixed berries or the lemon cheesecake with raspberries.
