The Connaught ReviewBuilt as a home-away-from-home for the denizens of Britain's stylish country houses, no hotel has updated the classic British style with quite as much élan as the Connaught. Leaded skylights, liveried doormen who seem to know every guest's name, and shady, masculine bars and restaurants are the picture of restrained 21st-century glamour, while the rooms are spacious Edwardian gems. Traditionalists opt for the Old Wing but we prefer the New Wing -- it's where the Connaught's mix of the old and new is most successful.
