Frommer's Review
Originally a private Victorian town house, this family-run hotel extends a warm welcome. It stands out among the many B&B disasters along this street by offering clean, comfortable, and inviting accommodations. The Queen of England doesn't send overflow guests here, but frugal travelers delight in the prices. The area is young and vibrant and is experiencing gentrification. The renovated hotel is looking better than ever and is a lot more luxurious than before. Rooms are Eastern influenced (the owner is Anglo-Indian) with carved dark wooden beds and wardrobes, plus Egyptian cotton sheets. The marbled bathrooms have also been restored. An elevator carries guests to every floor, and there are luggage-storage facilities if you want to venture into the countryside with a lighter load than you brought to (or acquired in) London. Added features include a juice bar and lounge furnished in dark walnut with leather sofas. There is also a "tropical" garden outside.
Facilities:
Breakfast room, juice bar, lounge, business services; laundry service; same-day dry cleaning; all nonsmoking rooms
