One of Europe's largest gay hotels, the Philbeach is a Victorian row house on a wide crescent behind the Earl's Court Exhibition Centre. Open to both men and women, it offers standard budget-hotel rooms. The showers are tiny, but the private and shared baths are clean. Room no. 8A, a double with bathroom, has a balcony overlooking the small back garden.
