Frommer's Review
This deluxe five-floor hotel -- Gatwick's most convenient -- is linked to the airport terminal by a covered walkway; an electric buggy service transports people between the hotel and the airport. The most impressive part of the hotel is the first-floor lobby. Its glass-covered portico rises four floors and contains a scale replica of the de Havilland Gypsy Moth airplane Jason, used by Amy Johnson on her solo flight from England to Australia in 1930. The reception area has a lobby bar and lots of greenery. The well-furnished, soundproof rooms have triple-glazed windows and tidily kept bathrooms equipped with a tub and shower. Rooms were recently refurbished, including the executive floor and all the junior suites.
Facilities:
2 restaurants; 2 bars; fitness center; tour desk; car-rental desk; business center; salon; room service; babysitting; laundry service; same-day dry cleaning; nonsmoking rooms; rooms for those w/limited mobility
