Frommer's Review
One of London's most appealing hotels, the Berkeley is housed in a French Regency-inspired building near Hyde Park. The building, completed in 1972, replaced the original Berkeley hotel, which was built in the late 19th century. During the new construction, some of original architectural embellishments were salvaged, including what is now the popular Blue Bar. Inside you'll find an environment inspired by Art Deco and French classical design but with a contemporary edge. Each of the rooms offers high-end style, but most elegant of all are the suites, many of which have luxurious, marble-and-tile-trimmed baths.
Facilities:
3 restaurants; 2 bars; concierge; health club & spa; pool (outdoor rooftop)

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
