Frommer's Review
These band and orchestral concerts on the north side of Hampstead Heath have been a British tradition for more than half a century. In recent years, laser shows and fireworks have been added to a repertoire that includes everything from rousing versions of the 1812 Overture to jazz to operas such as Carmen. The final concert of the season always features some of the "Pomp and Circumstance" marches of Sir Edward Elgar. Music drifts across the lake to serenade wine-and-cheese parties on the grass. Concerts take place in July and August, Saturday at 7:30pm. The box office is open Monday to Saturday from 9:30am to 6:30pm.
