Retreat here for great antiquarian ambience inside a 16th-century dwelling with flagstones, barrel tables, open fires, and rough-hewn brick walls. The pub has such an Old London feel that you may find yourself seeing Dickensian riffraff after a few pints of Timothy Taylor or Shepherd Neame.
