Frommer's Review
If not the most sophisticated restaurant along the Costa del Sol, La Meridiana certainly has the most romantic setting, with a garden terrace, and arguably serves the best cuisine as well. A sweep of a glass-enclosed porch has been added to the original restaurant. La Notte, a nightclub, has opened on a nearby terrace and has become the hot spot along the coast for late-night revelers. The menu of Italian and Andalusian specialties changes four times yearly. You don't just get the routine gazpacho here but such cold soups as curried pumpkin or chilled white almond and garlic with melon and grapes. Tiny boneless chicken comes stuffed with couscous, raisins, almonds, and spices, and there are many high-end favorites like foie gras, Beluga caviar, lobster, and fine Ibérico ham.
