Three women with respective backgrounds in art, textile design, and drama therapy started this wildly popular store. (Oprah often wears ELM clothing on her show.) The high-grade cotton and wool garments hug in only the right places, exuding comfort and flexibility. The designs, mostly black and white with the odd color burst, feature tasteful frills amid linear simplicity.
