This hotel, one of the Riviera's grandest, evokes a sprawling Provençal homestead set in an acre of pine forest. Each of the comfortably large rooms has its own terrace or balcony, and suites have a private pool with hedges. Bathrooms are deluxe, with tub/shower combinations. The swimming situation is remarkable -- guests in the 60 conventional rooms share a large pool, each of the suites has its own 2 by 6m (6 1/2- by 20-ft.) pool, and each of the four villas has an even bigger pool. The restaurant has magnificent views of the sea. It employs the flavors of Provence in its French, international, and Provençal specialties, using quality ingredients to shape its harmonious cuisine. The wine cellar deserves a star for its vintage collection, but watch those prices!
