Frommer's Review
This landmark palace houses the famous Museo Nacional de Cerámica, with one of the grandest collections of ceramics in Spain. The vast collection offers everything from lizards on plates to frogs riding the backs of lambs. In addition, there is a Gallery of Humorists, with caricatures of everybody from Einstein on down. In the case of this palace, the building -- a bizarre mixture of rococo and Churrigueresque -- competes with the exhibits. Ignacio Vergara in the 18th century carved the figures of Dos Aguas (Two Waters), the palace's namesake. Its history goes back to 1496, although the building's current look is predominantly 19th century. After you get your fill of art, a carriage museum and an armor room downstairs offer variety.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
