NH Hotel Villacarlos

Located close to the river, this hotel is within easy walking distance of most of the city's monuments. Following Barcelona's lead, Valencia has been keen to adopt the new, and the Hotel Villacarlos is a prime example. It has a simple postmodern facade that makes the reception area's bright orange decor all the more surprising. Abstract paintings in orange and blue (the hotel's color scheme) adorn the walls -- remember your sunglasses if you have a headache. In the guest rooms, however, the blue and orange are kept to a minimum. The furniture is functional and new, including comfortable beds and full-length mirrors. Bathrooms are well stocked and come with tub/shower combos.
