Getting There -- Yarmouth is at the convergence of two of the province's principal highways, routes 101 and 103. It's approximately 300km (186 miles) from Halifax. Yarmouth is the gateway for ferries connecting to Bar Harbor, Maine.
Visitor Information -- The Yarmouth Visitor Centre (tel. 902/742-6639 or 902/742-5033) is at 228 Main St., just up the hill from the ferry in a modern, shingled building you simply can't miss. Both provincial and municipal tourist offices are located here, open mid-May through late October daily from about 8am to 7pm.
