Scheduled to open in 2010 is the environmentally designed J.W. Marriott, in the Sögütözü district of Ankara, west of Çankaya. A glass curtain wall takes full advantage of the solar rays, while vertical stone "fins" are designed to shade the east and west facades. Use of bamboo and native vegetation in the landscaping works with nature to filter and restore the land. Stay tuned to www.marriott.com for progress.
