This reconstruction of the apartment where Liszt spent his last years is on the first floor of the Old Academy of Music, which he founded. He lived in the apartment from 1881 to 1886, and the museum holds many of his personal belongings, several of his pianos, and portraits of him. Matinee concerts are held here on Saturdays, and sometimes the musicians use Liszt's own instruments. In addition, the Liszt Academy of Music, on Liszt Ferenc tér, was gorgeously renovated in 2013 and is also worth a visit by classical-music lovers.
