Management refers to its fare as “fine dining”, but it’s closer to traditional Nova Scotia fare, done well, and in huge portions. To be frank: if you welcome the “Apple Garden Cake” included with the meal after making your way through the “Seafood Sensation Dinner,” you’ve accomplished quite a feat. The former comes with pan fried haddock, half a dozen scallops, and 2 skewers of shrimp topping a heap of vegetables and another side—whew! The Fishermen’s “Best of Both” Dinner, which includes both crab and lobster, is another lollapalooza of a dish. But the menu is varied and full of options (including some smaller ones). The bar is well-stocked with spirits and big brewery beers, although you won’t find any craft beers or Nova Scotia wines. As the name implies, this harbor side restaurant is set right beside the wharves and boats.
