Herring Choker Deli

Up on the highway but just minutes from the center of town, this was once the favorite haunt of  the late  actor Alan Arkin, a seasonal resident. This kitschy, cheerful café serves delicious breakfast items and sandwiches on the freshest bread made in house, wraps, daily soup specials and salads. Of course, the made-to-order organic, fair trade beverages are welcome as well. They also slide in musical guests from time to time.
