Catering and accommodation in and around Plaza de Santa María are dominated by the name Cerezo, with various establishments run by competing branches of the same family. Both Gastro-bar Cerezo at number 28 and Meson Cerezo II at number 33 rightly get terrible reviews, but for as little as 10€ you can get a simple set lunch of garlic soup, pork loin with fries, and a hunk of morcilla de Guadalupe (blood sausage), with a glass of wine and a pudding. The view from your table is a close-up of the Real Monasterio, so who cares if the service is slow?
