Pioneer Inn
This is, unapologetically, a motel. When you look back at your time in this area five years from now, you’ll likely have no memory of what your room looked like, because it will have looked like the rooms in dozens of other motels around the U.S. But you probably will remember the affable owner, who never seems to leave the desk, and runs a tight ship. You may also remember all of the fun things you got to do because you paid a reasonable rate for your room, a big deal in an area where the cost of sleeping has gotten astronomical. Might I add that you also won’t have any flashbacks to unpleasant memories here: the hotel is eat-off-the-floor clean, with strong showers, and quality beds. Many concertgoers stay here as it’s walking distance to the amphitheater.
