This beautiful old restaurant has kept its polished wood and checked tablecloths, as well as its classic menu. Wild boar terrine, rabbit in mustard sauce, rib steak with anchovy toasts, pike quenelles (a sort of elegant dumpling) and tarte tatin (apple tart) are menu regulars, plus the legendary cheese tray. It’s a postcard version of a Paris bistro, minus the surly waiters. The fixed-price menu is your best bet, as the main courses can get pricey on their own.
