This handsome old restaurant has kept up its polished wood and checked tablecloths as well as its classic menu. Wild boar terrine, rabbit in mustard sauce, rib steak with anchovy toasts, pike quenelles (a sort of elegant dumpling), and tarte tatin (caramelized apple tart) are menu regulars, plus the legendary cheese tray. It’s a picture-postcard version of a Paris bistro, without the surly waiters. The wine list is delectable, too. The plat canaille, or daily special, at lunch is 15€.
