Weary culture vultures who’ve tried to do both the Picasso museum and the Musée Carnavalet on the same day will appreciate this bustling corner cafe with its appealing sidewalk tables. This is not just any old corner cafe, mind you, but one where the young chef does terrific things with bistro classics like steak frites and andouillette (tripe sausage) as well as lighter fare like fresh vegetable casserole with basil oil, or shrimp with Thai curry. The lunch fixed-price menu is particularly good value.
