Visitor Information -- The Tourist Information Office (www.pulainfo.hr; tel. 052/219-197) is off Forum Square at Forum 3, opposite the Temple of Augustus.

Getting There -- Pula’s busy harbor enjoys healthy shipping and transportation traffic. In summer, several ferry and catamaran routes run to nearby Croatian islands, and even to Venice from here. For more detailed information, “Getting There” in “Orientation”.

Getting Around -- Pula is a very walkable city even outside its center, and its bus system can get you almost anywhere you need to go in town. Beyond that, a large number of bus routes run from Pula to Rijeka to Zagreb, to the Istrian coastal towns of Rovinj and Poreč, and to Trieste in Italy. If you want to explore the hills and valleys of the Istrian interior, you’ll need a car.
