Planning a trip to Sigüenza
Half a dozen trains a day run from Madrid’s Chamartín station to Sigüenza. The journey takes 1.5‒2 hours, costing 12€‒14€.
The train is easier than the bus. There is usually just one a day from Madrid’s Avenida de América, costing around 12.50€ and taking 2.5 hours.
From the train or bus station it is a short, straight walk to the old town along Calle Alfonso VI.
By car from Madrid, take the A-2 heading northeast. The trip takes around 1.5 hours. The best place to park is in front of the castle.
The tourist office at Calle Serrano Sanz, 9 (tel. 94-934-70-07), is open daily from 10am to 2pm and 4 to 6pm (5 to 7pm in summer).
