About our rating systemEstablished in 1870, this inviting bar and cafe overlooking the Frari church has walls adorned with original murals, an antique wooden bar, and a wrought-iron balcony upstairs. The seafood is especially good here, and at least three excellent German beers are usually on tap. The whole place morphs into Il Mercante Cocktail Bar in the evenings (Sun & Tues–Thu 6pm–1am; Fri 6pm–2am).
