During the Ascot races and Windsor Horse Show, reservations are necessary far in advance. Unlike such towns as Oxford, you will find a not-so-great collection of B&Bs in Windsor. In a pinch, the Tourist Information Centre will book you into budget accommodations in the area but will charge £5 for doing so, plus a 10% deposit.
