What the Airline Mergers Mean for You
Well, merger madness is in the air. But what does it all mean for you? Will your routine flight to Tampa suddenly cost you a bazillion dollars and a kidney? And what about all those frequent flyer miles you've been squirreling away? For our take on what's to come should/when/if these big mergers take place, visit our Q&A page.
Survey Says...
Remember our little poll from a while back? We asked how much extra you'd pay for a nonstop flight. Well, the people have spoken: nearly a third of you are willing to pay no more than $40 to buy a nonstop flight vs. a connecting one. And 23% of you said you'd pay no more than $20, 17% would fork over $60, and only 5% said $80. So it looks like you're a real bunch of Frugal McDougals, which isn't all that surprising to us since we're all about the low fares. Your answers are a big help, since that tells us we should continue reporting the very lowest fares, even if they're just a bit lower on connecting flights.
And speaking of surveys, we have two more questions we'd like your opinion on. Don't worry, they're multiple choice, and we promise it'll take you all of two measly seconds to answer, so c'mon and help us out. Here goes:
- What is your favorite airfare booking site when your travel dates are flexible, and conversely...
- What's your fave when your dates are set in stone.
Click here to vote. And remember, your answers will help us serve you better!
