Making up for the lack of a Ritz-y resort on Marco Island is this posh, all-suite place with a full-service spa. The suites are comfy, complete with full kitchens and patios overlooking the Gulf. Bathrooms are large and have delicious Gilchrist & Soames bath products. Although the marble lobby is mausoleum-like, with little or no activity, it is a sight to see. After a recent $1-million renovation to landscaping, suites, and other areas, the owners decided to add a new lobby seating area, so you can actually sit and enjoy the scenery. While the pool has private cabanas and great butlers, the beach and the service there is what really matters. There's also a rooftop pool, where you can enjoy massages, butler service, and luxe rental cabanas. The restaurant, Sale e Pepe, features an award-winning Italian-born chef whipping up exquisite northern Italian cuisine with French influences.
