Frommer's Review
The beauty of The Muse is that it is a Times Square hotel that feels like it's miles away; an inspired oasis in the midst of the Vegas-like hokeyness, bustle, and noise that is now Times Square. In the intimate, mahogany-paneled lobby, you will be personally checked in by a concierge and brought to your room by a bellman, who will familiarize you with the amenities. But while he's doing that, you might be marveling at the classical contemporary decor and not really paying attention. All the rooms are good-size with feather beds and custom linens. The bathrooms are sumptuous and well outfitted. Service is solid and anticipatory; you even get your own personalized business cards. My only complaint, and it's not one that is unusual in New York, was the cacophony of garbage trucks working on 46th Street before sunrise. Try to secure a back room if street noise is an issue.
