There are no upscale accommodations in Buyeo, but there are a number of motels and yeogwan available in town. One of your best options is the Buyeo Tourist Hotel, 433 Ssangbuk-li, Buyeo-eup, Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnam-do (tel. 041/834-0909; www.bchotel.co.kr). Simple but comfortable, the location has a restaurant that serves Korean cuisine and Korean versions of Western food, as well as a cafe. The rooms have A/C, satellite cable, and a hair dryer. Standard rooms go for W85,000-W95,000.
Totally on the other end of the economic scale is the Samjung Buyeo Youth Hostel, 105-1 Gugeyo-li, Buyeo-eup, Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnam-do (tel. 041/835-3101; www.buyeoyh.com). Though it's mostly for groups of traveling schoolchildren, adults can get a bed for W16,000, W11,000 if you're a member. A family room that sleeps four is only W42,900, W39,000 for members.
