If you've worked up an appetite after a night of hitting Nashville's hot spots, head on over to this tiny greasy spoon in the Rutledge Hill area just south of Lower Broadway. It's not glamorous—it's furnished with little more than some four-person tables, stools fronting a Formica counter, and pictures of country-music stars hanging on the walls. Nashville's night owls come here for coffee, eggs, biscuits and gravy, and some of the best people-watching the city has to offer. Thanks to a spate of trendy restaurants opening nearby, including Husk and Pinewood Social, the Hermitage Café has been discovered by a new wave of young people. Bring cash, because credit cards aren't accepted.
