Lluçanes ReviewAn alluring spot on the increasingly chic Barceloneta seafood gourmet scene, Lluçanes enjoys an enviable first-floor location inside Barceloneta market, with access to the freshest and most varied seafood in the city. There's also paisano (country-style) bread baked on the spot. The open-plan kitchen lets you see exactly what's going on. Talented chef Angel Pascual won the restaurant a Michelin star in 2008 for inventive dishes such as suquet shellfish stew; this classic Catalan dish is second to none. Some of his more adventurous offerings, including salmonetes escabechados con vinagre de manzana frutas setas del tiempo y cebolla dulce (soused red mullet with apple vinegar, fruit, fresh mushrooms and sweet onions!), are a whole new culinary experience. Savor this exhilarating food in a futuristic dining room of metallic gray-white. The service is a blend of efficient and informal.
