Frommer's Review
This is one of the few restaurants in Barcelona that deserves and gets a Michelin star. In one of the grand 19th-century buildings for which Barcelona is famous, this stylish and well-managed restaurant serves a clientele of local residents and civic dignitaries. You take an Art Nouveau elevator (or the sinuous stairs) up one flight to reach the dining room. Specialties include salmon steak served with vinegar derived from cava (sparkling wine) and onions, cream of potato soup flavored with caviar, a salad of crayfish with orange-flavored vinegar, an abundant platter of autumn mushrooms, and succulent preparations of lamb, fish, shellfish, beef, goat, and veal.
