The Regencia Colón is conveniently located in a narrow central street behind the pricier Hotel Colón, right in the shadow of the imposing cathedral. This stately six-story stone building attracts a number of major international tour groups thanks to its excellent value and location. The formal lobby may be a bit featureless and downbeat, but the staff is very welcoming and the well-maintained rooms are comfortable, quite spacious, and feature modern conveniences such as satellite TV. Rooms are fully soundproof, and 40 have full bathrooms with tubs (the remainder have showers only). All have comfortable beds and piped-in music.
