This small, informal guesthouse is gradually earning itself a loyal following among visitors who want to be close to the sea without paying for the earth. Barceloneta (the old fishermen's district) is mysteriously lacking in reasonably priced places to stay, and the friendly Marina Folch is a gem. All 10 rooms have private bathrooms with shower while the bedrooms are simply decorated but fresh, clean, and comfortable. It's exactly what cheap, no-nonsense accommodations should be: a genuine retreat from the bustle of daily life minus the sometimes-tiring whistles and bells of more upscale accommodations. The only drawback is that it's located above a restaurant (same management), so mealtimes are noisy.
