Frommer's Review
A smart, atmospheric hotel with plenty of its original modernista flourishes, the Nouvel makes a charming retreat in the heart of the Old City. It's wonderful for lovers of the Art Deco style with many of the original carved wood panels, smoked-glass partitions, and elaborate floor tiles. The bedrooms offer a mix of newly renovated accommodations, though the rooms with the most character are the more old-fashioned kind with the original tiles. All have newly modernized bathrooms with tub/shower combos. The best have balconies and it's worth asking for a room at the rear if street noise bothers you.
