Silken Gran Hotel Havana ReviewThe Havana occupies a 19th-century building (Casa L. Fradera) that first opened its doors to the public as a hotel in 1991. It was completely redecorated in 2009 but still retains much of its original moderniste architecture and design. Rooms here are spacious and well equipped, with vast Italian-marble bathrooms. The best and priciest rooms are the executive suites on the sixth floor, which have private terraces with stunning views. Although all rooms are soundproofed, those facing the ever-busy Gran Vía still suffer from a certain amount of traffic noise; if you're a light sleeper it's best to ask for a room at the rear. The rooftop pool and sun terrace are an added bonus. Facilities: Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. Please be sure to confirm all rates and details directly with the companies in question before planning your trip. Related Features Deals & News

| 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
