Boating
Seville is hardly on the beach, but the Guadalquivir River is used for cruises, canoeing, and paddle boating. Seville, perhaps, looks its most scenic from the river. Near Torre del Oro, you can get information and details, including prices, about boating. Check with Cruceros Turísticos Torre del Oro, Paseo Marqués de Contadero, Arenal (tel. 95-421-13-96; www.crucerostorredeloro.com), about river cruises. Costing 15€ ($24) per person, these run every 30 to 60 minutes daily from 11am to 9pm April to October. Off-season hours are daily from 11am to 9pm.
Swimming
A hotel above three government stars without a swimming pool is rare in Seville. The largest, most state-of-the-art, and most comprehensive of the city's public pools is Aquopolis, Poligono del Aeropuerto (tel. 95-440-66-22; www.aquopolis.es). Popular with families and children alike, this sprawling water park has slides, gardens, splashing fountains, and cafeterias. Rates are 18€ ($29) adults, 13€ ($21) children 3 to 12, and 10€ ($16) children 11 and under. Open June to mid-September daily noon to between 7 and 8pm, depending on the season and the day of the week.
