In Twillingate
Options for dining are still pretty limited in Twillingate, despite a growing influx of travelers; gourmet fare hasn't arrived here yet. The Anchor Inn Motel's dining room is a decent family-style choice, while R&J Restaurant on Main Street (tel. 709/884-2212) is a locals' favorite for its diner fare of pizza, sandwiches, fried fish, and the like. Finally, there's the Harbourview Restaurant (tel. 709/884-1616), also on Main Street, which seems to be a slight favorite of travelers based on my informal polling.
