Designed by Jack Nicklaus, this target-style, desert-links course is one of the most challenging courses in the state. Check out some of the course rules: NO RETRIEVING GOLF BALLS FROM THE 150-FOOT CLIFFS ON THE OCEAN HOLES 12, 13, OR 17, and ALL WHALES, AXIS DEER, AND OTHER WILD ANIMALS ARE CONSIDERED IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS. That’s just a hint of the unique experience you’ll have on this starkly beautiful oceanfront course, which is routed among lava outcroppings, archaeological sites, and kiawe groves. The five sets of staggered tees pose a challenge to everyone from the casual golfer to the pro. The staff hands out complimentary Bloody Marys and Screwdrivers to those who partake, and new carts come with Bluetooth so you can stream your own music. Facilities include a clubhouse, pro shop, rentals, practice area, lockers, and showers.
